Troubleshooting the Pet Feedster PF-10 PLUS

If you're having an issue with your Pet Feedster, please complete the following test steps to determine what might be the problem.

Testing the Motor

  • Press and hold the “MODE” button 10 seconds until “ADJ” shows up
  • Press the “ADJ” button
  • Check to see if the motor is running or not

If the motor is running, the timer is an issue and needs to be replaced.

Testing the Timer

  • Press and hold the “MODE” button until “FEEDING” shows up Example: look at the first feeding time
  • Click the “MODE” button to show the master clock
  • Set the master clock to 1 minute less than the first feeding meal time.
Example: first feeding time is 8am, so set the master clock to 7:59am
  • The motor should be running within 1 minute

If the motor is not running, the timer must be replaced.

Other Tests
If the motor and timer work fine, but no food is dispensing, the Flex Feeder may need to be replaced. Check the bottom of the Flex Feeder. Is it broken or cracked? Is it stripped? (It should not be completely circular)

Timer / Clock Issues

Issue: When I unplug the unit from the wall, even with fresh batteries, the master clock resets to 00:00. It keeps feeding time, but the master clock needs to be reset. Seems to work fine when unplugging the adapter straight from the unit (batteries take over). However, when unplugging adapter from the wall, the clock resets.

Solution: Your timer needs to be replaced. Please contact us at info@petfeedster.com with your order number for a replacement part under warranty.

Issue: My clock seems to slow down or speed up, and I need to reset the clock every few weeks.
